If this were Jeopardy, the question answered by the title of this post would be: what time is worst to visit the grocery store, at least on a Thursday? How can a store have no bananas? NO BANANAS! The nice thing was that, despite there being only one checkout lane open, there was no waiting. The other good thing is, I now have food at home and, more importantly, coffee. Granted, I had to buy the more expensive bulk beans because the less expensive bulk beans were all gone except for decaf (feh!) and flavors (eek!).
