whahuh?

Apparently word is getting around that I'm not returning to my job next year. According to parents, I'm leaving to teach science somewhere else. Uh? One batsh*t crazy mom (according to a colleague--I didn't create that moniker) told me to ask her if I needed a recommendation and hugged me. Double uh?

None of the kids have mentioned anything to me yet, so I'm not sure if they know. I don't mind telling the parents why I'm not returning, but I don't want to tell the kids the why part.

Right now the dog is curled up next to me, nose in tail, and hubby promised we could go to Chili's for dinner, so life isn't too bad.
